Pelvic health physical therapy can be beneficial for people with urinary and bowel conditions, painful sex, and other pelvic floor problems. As with other types of physical therapy, the goal is for our clients to stay active and healthy. We can help moms prepare for and recover from vaginal delivery or Cesarean section as well as address orthopedic and pelvic floor problems during pregnancy and the postpartum period. We understand that pelvic floor problems impact all people, not just women, and we provide care to all people who have pelvic health concerns.
Our goal is to help you understand what’s contributing to your pelvic floor and orthopedic problems and build a personalized program to help improve your function so you can get back to the things you love. We believe education and understanding exactly what is contributing to your problems can empower you to feel better and make the most informed decisions about your health. We also believe in a tailored treatment plan that addresses your individual problems and goals. Whether you’re experiencing leaking, pressure, or discomfort that impacts your ability to exercise, or pain and tension that limits your ablity to sit, pee, or have sex- we can help.
We understand that pelvic floor problems require treatment that goes beyond the pelvis. We make sure to look at you as a whole person to assess and treat all factors that may be contributing to your symptoms, for lasting relief. Our therapy may include guided exercise, manual therapy, education, prevention and wellness strategies to help you heal and decrease risk of injury in a supportive environment.
