Danielle Ferris, MS, OTR/L, CLT

Danielle Ferris, MS, OTR/L, CLTDanielle is an Occupational Therapist with six years of experience treating adults with a variety of diagnosis’s including neurological, musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions.

Throughout her career, Danielle has focused on continuing her education and is recognized by the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). She underwent training in complete decongestive therapy, manual lymph drainage and compression bandaging. She has also completed training through Klose Training related to breast cancer rehabilitation, and is certified to implement and train individuals in the Strength After Breast Cancer exercise program.

Danielle found her passion in working with oncology patients, in particular, breast cancer survivors. Danielle has experience evaluating and treating differential diagnosis related to pre/post breast cancer treatments. She uses a holistic treatment approach that is centered on treating both the body and mind. Using a client centered treatment plan, she helps clients to regain function, reduce symptoms and improve quality of life.

Danielle graduated from State University of New York at Cortland with a B.S. in Kinesiology. She earned her Masters Degree of Occupational Therapy from Sage College. Danielle has lived in Washington D.C for the past 5 years. When she’s not working you may find her on her mat at a local yoga studio or planning her next trip abroad.
